The Hyperaide Vision
There are a lot of productivity apps. If you are like me you might have even tried a bunch of them, but there is always something missing and something that just doesn't work the way you want it to. This is why I started building Hyperaide early this year. I’m sure some of you will feel this way regarding my productivity app too. There is no silver bullet. No productivity app made by others can be perfect for you. But we are doing things a little different than others so if you like where we are going then jump on the train. Now let me tell you a bit about the journey and the destination.
Mostly opinionated.
Hyperaide likes having opinions. What this means is that we believe there are certain ways to do things and we would rather have you do those things the hyperaide way rather than create your own system.
Having an opinionated system means taking the cognitive load for creating and managing away from you so that you can actually focus on what matters, getting stuff done.
This doesn't mean there will be no customisation options or that you are stuck doing things in a frustrating way that you don’t want to. It means making things flexible where they can be and optimising for process that will make you more productive and happy in the long run. Ultimately we want to have systems that you follow not because you have to but you want to.
All in on AI.
Hyperaide is all in on AI. Being ai first is a philosophy that is at the core of the product. Now this might sound buzzwordy or feel lazily thrown in so let me explain. I genuinely believe the new age of AI unlocks so much potential and this is just a statement to signal that we are aware and thinking about it.
At the end of the day AI is a tool. Just like no company says we are “computer first” we want to get to a stage where “ai first” doesn't mean anything, But until then im just letting you know that Il be living at the edge and exploring whats possible as it comes :)
The UI/UX difference.
My biggest gripes with other apps usually wasn't even functionality but more so the UI/UX. I want an app that works but also one that is beautiful and makes me want to use it.
This is a non negotiable for hyperaide and great UI/UX will be at the core of how the product is built. This means having an obsession to details and thinking about how a potential new feature will be experienced and not just used. I am nowhere near the levels I want to be in this regard but I am committing to raise the bar and to keep it there.
Focused on tasks.
There are many things we use and need for our productivity. Notes, bookmarks, events etc. And there are countless apps doing many different combinations of these together and some even trying to be the everything app. Hyperaide is NOT going to do that. atleast not yet. I think focus is super important. It's easy to get carried away and do a bunch of things mediocrely rather than do one thing well.
This is why Hyperaide is going to be focusing on tasks for now. The reason for choosing tasks is that ultimately it is the one thing that touches all other aspects of productivity. From your meetings you take away the next steps as tasks. When you read that email you figure out what tasks you need to do from this. When you come across an interesting article, you create a task to read it later.
Tasks seem to be a universal layer that touches all. It makes sense to start here.
I am personally invested.
Following on from being focused on what we are building, we are also focused on who we are building for. Professionals with ADHD. I got diagnosed with ADHD this year and building hyperaide is an answer to a personal struggle. The goal is to build something for people where the problem being solved is hugely important. A hair on fire problem. And ADHD is just that. Many people with ADHD view it as the biggest blocker in their life.
So I am personally invested in building this. Right now, the Hyperaide company is just me. we're not VC-backed but fully bootstrapped—and we're also profitable. Whether this changes or not doesn't matter; one thing that won't change is that Hyperaide will keep running. For years, I've wished I could have a personal assistant that helps me get stuff done, and I'm sure a lot of you have too. I think we're finally at a time where we can make it happen.
